It may sound well-worn but I keep to it: our experience is that you get a
very privileged feeling if you are able to earn a living from a hobby.
I would really like to tell you how we, in our little company, work.
At the start of each year, we do some thorough alterations. No customer
will notice that. We work silently and without dust clouds. Every corner
is tackled, everything is totally renewed. New colours, new examples, you
name it.
In the meantime, life goes on in the “old” shop: customers looking for
their stuff or just having a look at all the examples we made or at the
exhibited pieces of work of other customers.
Before leaving our shop, we ask our customers to leave us their
impressions so that we can keep on improving our shop.
What we often hear is that people appreciate the extensive explanations
and advice. Only, we do not see this as explaining or advising, we just
talk about what we (in all modesty) are good at. Our passion for the job
is what appeals to people and what stimulates them to dive into
creativity. Another trump is that we address people in their own language,
thanks to our foreign speaking co-workers. We think this is very important
as we have customers from all over the world.
But I am wandering away. I was talking about our yearly alterations. We
use our summer holiday to finish off the changes. Once we are convinced
that everything is the way we want it to be, we are obliged to close the
shop for a short period. People usually do not appreciate this, but once
they see why we were closed, they tend to forgive us straight away.
The “old” shop is pulled down in a tearing rush to make way for the new
one. Silently and without dust clouds. After that, we are open again
throughout the year, 24/7.
Do you feel like having a look? You are always very welcome to
